For more than three decades, the name Bilbate has been associated with high quality glass disposables. Laboratories throughout universities, hospitals and industry have come to recognise Bilbate as the brand on which they can rely. Bilbate has refined traditional glass moulding and forming techniques to exceptional levels of precision by means of purpose built machinery developed in house by Bilbate founder, Bill Bates. Each item of glassware is hand finished and fully inspected to ensure conformity and customer satisfaction.

Bilbate's ability to innovate is amply demonstrated by the patented Spirocap glass capillary tubes. Spirocap is unique in respect of a special spiral filament of solid glass fused to the inside of the capillary tube. This produces both higher capillary attraction and added tube strength. Extensively field tested in Congo, these tubes give 100% successful mixing of blood and anticoagulant, without need of agitation. They are especially beneficial for use in high ambient temperatures.

Bilbate's skilled workforce specialises in producing its high quality disposable glassware on both a standard product and a customised basis. All Bilbate products are developed in close cooperation with end users to ensure compliance with the required performance and quality levels. Our range is normally supplied in soda-lime glass, but all of our products are available in borosilicate or neutral glass.
